In our school halls, there's something special happening – it's called the Food Committee, and it's all about trying new foods and sharing what we love to eat! Chef Chris is at the heart of it, making sure everyone gets a taste of something exciting.
Food Committees provide an excellent platform for highlighting food items that students might have been hesitant to try or for introducing new menu options. By including representatives from each grade level, regardless of their meal plans, we gain valuable insights into the ever-evolving tastes of our student body.
Our goal is to broaden students' culinary horizons by showcasing dishes that expand their food knowledge and ignite their excitement to try new things. By being among the first to sample these offerings, students become ambassadors of culinary adventure, spreading the word about the deliciousness they've discovered.
Recently, Chef Chris put together a Breakfast Edition of the Food Committee, and it was a hit! They got to try things like Biscuits & Gravy, Egg Muffins, Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats, and Bi Bim Bap, a Korean Rice Bowl. The overnight oats and Bi Bim Bap were the favorites, and guess what? They ended up on the menu for the week!
It's cool to see how trying new foods can be fun. We're already looking forward to the next Food Committee in April. Who knows what tasty surprises Chef Chris has in store for us? One thing's for sure – it's going to be delicious!
So let's remember Chef Chris's motto: Make Today a TRY Day! Let's keep exploring new flavors and sharing the joy of good food with each other.
