As we reflect on the incredible Harvest Party, we’re reminded of the profound impact that events like this can have on all of us—both as organizers and participants. When we set out to plan this celebration, our goal was to create a joyful experience that would foster our 3 values: community, campus, and curriculum. Little did we know how much it would enrich our hearts and spirits as well.
The night was filled with laughter, joy, and an unmistakable sense of togetherness. On every inch of the campus, it was clear that our HHA community had come together to make this event truly special. We are immensely grateful to our fantastic vendors, who played an integral role in creating an unforgettable experience:
Verona Bounce wowed us with the BEST axe throwing inflatable that had guests lining up with excitement.
Havens Petting Farm brought adorable animals that delighted children and adults alike and brought people together.
Radiant Smiles offered smiles all around, making sure everyone felt welcomed and excited to have beautiful art on them. The line stayed long the entire night!
M&M Ponies provided pony rides that lit up faces, had kids squealing with JOY and created lasting memories.
HHA's Food Program with Quest Foods kept us fueled with delicious treats that added to the festive atmosphere. Our assembly area was full the entire event!
Darling Dregers donated over 200 pumpkins for families to enjoy!
Momma Megs sweetened the evening with delightful treats that made our hearts a little lighter.
Fun Time Bounces providing a dunk tank where kids and adults had a splash of a time engaging in fun with people they look up to!
One moment that stands out was when Mareth from M&M Ponies approached our planning team at the end of the night. She expressed, “Truly, I have done many events and been around a lot of people, and I need to tell you, your crew is truly amazing. Everyone—even the littlest of ages—said thank you to me. I've never been thanked more in my life. You guys have the kids really trained here.”
Her words resonated deeply within us. We responded, “Thank you so much for sharing that. It means a lot, because it’s not that they are trained; it’s our vision: cultivating compassionate leaders.”
This vision permeates everything we do at HHA, particularly through our L-E-A-D-E-R-S framework, emphasizing character education in our daily curriculum.
In that moment, as we shared our philosophy with Mareth, we realized the true essence of what we strive for at HHA: not just to teach our students but to inspire them to embody compassion and leader character in their interactions with others. This commitment reflects our core values and is evident in the way our students and families engage with our community.
HHA President and owner, Matt Dahl, who also witnessed this exchange, echoed Mareth's sentiments, stating, “That’s what we want at school. This party is what it is because of the people. If you come on a Sunday morning, this place isn’t the same. It’s not as beautiful.”
His words struck a chord with us, highlighting how the magic of our community truly comes alive when we gather together.
The Harvest Party was a powerful reminder of how events like these can create a ripple effect of positivity. Watching families connect, sharing smiles and laughter, filled our hearts with immense joy. Whether it was through serving in the cafeteria, refilling drinks, or simply mingling with one another, every small act contributed to a greater sense of belonging.
Even the dunk tank was a source of excitement, as kids set alarms on their phones, determined not to miss a moment of fun with role models they admire. The assembly in the K-8 building was full, showcasing the strength of our community when we come together.
This event beautifully embodied our three C’s: community, where we celebrated each other; campus, which became a vibrant space for connection; and curriculum, as our students demonstrated the values they learn every day.
As we look back on the Harvest Party, we are reminded that our intention to create a positive impact on others ultimately nourished our spirits to overflow with an abundance of gratitude. We felt the warmth and love radiating from everyone in attendance, filling our hearts with pride.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our cleanup crew, maintenance team, custodial staff, and everyone who contributed to making this event magical. Your dedication and effort ensure that HHA remains a welcoming space for all.
We will carry the beautiful memories of this event with us, reminding ourselves of the power of community and the joy that comes from connecting with one another. Together, we are cultivating a space where compassion and kindness are at the foundation of ALL that we do for kids to thrive. Because when we do that, the sky is the limit for learning!
Here’s to many more moments of togetherness in the future!
